Prof. Rohit Kohli

I am a Professor of Pediatrics with specialization in liver diseases in children.
My clinical training and over 20 years of experience have focused on caring for children with liver disease, including transplantation. I have led the liver transplant program and care unit at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and have been an Endowed Professor of Pediatrics (Clinical Scholar) at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California since 2016. My basic science research has focused on liver disease and obesity-related fatty liver disease (NASH), with 15+ years of continuous funding from the National Institutes of Health for my laboratory research. At CHLA, I have been responsible for the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. For the past two years, I have served as the Director of The George Donnell Society for Pediatric Scientists, a research pipeline development program for residents and fellows at CHLA. I have recently been given the role of Associate Director for The Saban Research Institute (TSRI), where I am responsible for all teaching and education-related matters, including leading the career development across the entire continuum of career stages.
