Caitlin Schneider currently works as the Clinical Director for Sonic Incytes, a Vancouver based company developing new technology for measuring liver stiffness and attenuation. Caitlin has been developing technology in the field of ultrasound and ultrasound elastography for the past 15 years, working on projects ranging from robotically controlled ultrasound probes for laparoscopic surgery to understanding fibrosis development in transplant kidneys. She completed her PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of British Columbia in 2017 and has been continuing that work at Sonic Incytes. She enjoys the process of bringing technology from an academic research setting to the hands of physicians.
When not working, Caitlin can be found in the mountains around Vancouver, hiking, climbing, skiing or kayaking.
